Studio Forty was approached by a land owner seeking to re-imagine a brownfield site sitting aside the A13 in Thurrock. Our role was wide-ranging as we assisted with the development of an agreeable programme for the site, one that met the intention to provide new housing and amenities to the local community.
Early feasibility studies tested site density, building typologies and ideas concerning sense of place and the establishment of a strong social environment. Subsequently, our concept provided a masterplan comprised of up to 40 dwellings with landscaped areas in addition to general amenity spaces and facilities for the local community.
