In spring 2019 Studio Forty was approached by a client who had recently acquired a detached bungalow in Hutton, Essex. The property had been occupied but had remained largely untouched over the last decade or more and therefore the client was keen to utilise our expertise for a full scheme of refurbishment and extension.
The proposed extension would replace the existing, adjoining single-width garage complete with weather damaged roof. The client wished to incorporate more modern living ideals into the property with a considered installation that would provide an open-plan kitchen/dining space, utility room and increased ergonomics to the ground floor plan.
