Studio 40 is a RIBA Chartered architecture practice based in Billericay, working with homeowners across Chelmsford and the surrounding villages. We combine architecture, interiors and project management, working with clients who want a genuinely considered approach to how they live.

We have completed projects in Chelmsford including a new build family home in Galleywood, where a dilapidated bungalow was demolished and replaced with a contemporary two-storey family home, planned from the ground up with the family's life at its centre. Chelmsford has seen considerable growth and development in recent years, and working here requires good knowledge of Chelmsford City Council's planning policies, the City's Conservation Areas, and the pressures of working in and around the Metropolitan Green Belt that borders the borough to the west.
