It's hard to believe that we've been sponsoring the award for the BA(Hons) Architecture Degree course at ARU for four years now . . . where does time go! But Kieron's association with ARU goes back even further, to when he studied Architectural Technology at there many moons ago - it's probably best that we don't say how long ago.
Anyway, this year Stefania Millan won the prize for her project The Warp & Weft, which sought to foster a meaningful reconciliation between Fish Island’s community and its authentic industrial heritage through sustainable
initiatives that celebrate culture, craftsmanship, and collective engagement.
Not only did Stefania put together a thorough portfolio but the depth of reasearch, conceptual exploration and design development really set her apart from her peers. We first met Stefania last year when she took part in our This is Our Space event, which we put on in support of the Creative Tech Festival in collaboration with Basildon Council and ARU.
Well done Stefania. S40
