The inaugural event saw around 40 construction professionals come together for networking, food, drink and a very informative presentation from Gary Boyes of IMD UK Ltd. The presentation focussed on Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 which has brought about changes to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The changes came into effect on 1st Otcober 2023 and will affect all Responsible Persons, with the intenion of improving fire safety in non-domestic premises and any premises that contain two or more domestic dwellings (referred to as multi-occupied residential buildings).
The EBP approached Kieron with the idea of creating the Construction network last year and from the start of 2024 the event will take place monthly on the 4th Tuesday of every month. It's open to anyone within the Construction industry from tradesmen to structural engineers, quantity surveyors to wast management. Anyone interested in taking part can find out more here.
