Studio 40 is a RIBA Chartered architecture practice. Kieron, who grew up in Shenfield, trained and worked in London on some of the most demanding residential projects in the city before returning to Essex to build something the county did not have: a practice with genuine design conviction bringing London-calibre standards to projects here.

The project was redesigned for a young family relocating from London, with an open-plan layout, additional bedrooms and planning consent achieved first time. Shenfield sits within the Brentwood borough planning area, and working here requires good knowledge of local planning policies, the Green Belt that borders much of the area, and the character of the established residential streets around Hutton Mount and beyond.
